i was wondering if there is an application that allows me to update podcast from my bold on the move? i know viigo will have something like that the near future... but does anyone know about one available now?

yea im waiting for viigo as well.
I know BerryTunes have a podcast function but I'm not sure how well it works and have not tried it. Its not free but there is a free trial.

I've been playing around with the podcast function of BerryTunes and it seems to work well. The only problem is that it doesn't look like you can fast forward through a podcast, so if you get disconnected for some reason while listening you have to go back to the beginning of the podcast.

Yes, I recently purchased Audiobay
AcroDesign Technologies | Products: AudioBay Podcast Player for Blackberry and it works great. It will automatically (schedule) or manually update your podcasts, you can FF or RW thru them, you can pause and restart from where you left off and the support from the company is excellent. It has some "preloaded" Podcasts but you can add your own. You can download via WiFi or OTA. Unfortunatly (my only complaint) was there was no "trial" version.

I'm using the trial version of BerryTunes and if you get a call it will pause the Podcast. When you go back to start playing it again it asks if you want to resume. Select yes and it continues where you left off. It doesn't have rewind or forward.

Will this download the podcast mp3s to the MicroSD card and not the internal memory?

Yes, it ONLY works with a MicroSD

Use the BlackBerry browser & WiFi.

Point the browser to the podcast's RSS feed. Click on an item and select "Get Audio". The file will download. You can choose to save it to SD card or internal memory.

You can only download large audio / video files over WiFi. You can bookmark the RSS feed and have it 'check for updates" as often as you want over 3G.
