When mine gets hot I usually just run it under cold water in my sink. That usually helps.

Mine gets very very hot (battery, screen and keyboard) when I use Slingplayer, not to mention the fast battery drain also while using slingplayer.

yup, I'm having the same problem.

today the screen adn back door got hot, I took teh battery out, pluged it to charge, came back after 2 hours phone was 100 percent charged, and it's been fine ever since.

I wonder what it is... if a lot of people here are having this problem, then chances are it's not a hardware problem....

I too am having a problem. It's gotten warmer than normal a few times, but last night was the worst. I normally don't have WiFi on, but had it on last night, then I plugges it in and went to bed. It was plugged in for about 8 hours, then when I went to pick it up, it was very very hot. I also noticed there was no lightning bolt over the battery indicator while it was charging. It's been about 15 minutes with no usage and WiFi off and It's down to 50% charge.

It was so hot, I could smell burning. Battery appeared normal (no bluldging). The fact that I could smell it buring was an immediate indicator that something was not right. Now my battery is draining super fast but it is cool to the touch. Even the trackball was too hot to touch.

Another note, when I unplugged it from the charger, the screen went white. That' when I did the battery pull and then put it back in. Normal temperature and operation now, but battery is draining fast.

I think I'll wait for the battery to completely drain, then pull again, and do a full charge. I hope this doesn't happen again, freaked me out.

Default My BB bold can't turn on

Hi all,

my bb bold cannot turn on. I turned it off on last friday. By this morning i tried to turn it on, but it cannot. I thought that the battery is empty, so plugged it to its charger. The lamp turned on red, then off. After that, on screen showed charging battery icon and then dissapeared. But my bb still cannot turn on. Does anyone have an advice for this issue ?

Thx,

Vis'

Does your PC recognise the phone at all? Did you upgrade the software at all (or attempt to)?

Yep, seen the heating up issue as well. While the Bold doesn't get really hot there is noticeable increase in heat when it's plugged in and charging.
