Only OS 4.3.x.x supports youtube. You have to wait for the release, it should work on your Curve.

I do know, I know a lot of things about BlackBerrys and I always do my best to help in the case of legitimate question, or a real problem. Now, with that said... The rules of this forum are to search first, ask second, and if you had read more than the first post, or the thread title, your question would have been answered without you needing to ask.

Hence my comment...

Sorry I "offended" you though, I will certainly look into growing up sometime soon. Hey, maybe my son and I can do it together!

Those are actually highly regarded suggestions, not rules.

My unwritten rule is to never tell someone to go search without a hint or link as to where they might search. << That seems to be the going mantra around here of late, a kinder and gentler helpful place to hang out.

Same error here: "The protocol specified is not supported by the handheld. Please try a different URL"..

I am using a 8110 on a corproate BES server, firmware 4.3.0.93. Not sure if the error is due to my company blocking the stream. ' I have no idea what this error means. i.e. what is missing to make it work.

cheers,

I have a Curve 8330 with 4.3 and I get the media player popping up, then the video doesn't play. Same issue as the OP. Weird...

AT&T has some known issues with streaming video. Some claim it is there EDGE network isn't fast enough to support them, some have other ideas, and some have gotten it to work on AT&T. I don't know the technical part, but I am under the general assumption that streaming media does not work (at least well) with AT&T.

I have a Telus 8330 that does not play Youtube videos - the media player launches and after a fairly long load time I get "An error has occurred attempting to play media"
This also happens then I try to stream from blueapple.mobi although I am able to save them to my device the play them from the media player.

I believe that Telus is blocking streaming videos.

And you JSanders are one of my exceptions. Like I said I'm not exactly sure why most people can't get it to work on AT&T, just that they can't.
