Default getting LBS (BB Maps) back onto 8300?

Please Login to Remove!

alright, I hate to beat a dead horse here but, this is regarding my issue in this thread.

I was having a problem getting BB Maps off my 8300, I finally figured out that, all I needed to do was delete it from the App Loader Menu. In the process, I lost the LBS application (which i could SWEAR, was a separate application listed under the "Options->Advanced->Applications" folder on the device.

Anyway, without LBS, will I still be able to use GPS navigation via bluetooth puck and Google Maps?

Basically, what EXACTLY, besides BB Maps, does the LBS app do?

TIA

you'll still be able to use a BT puck. LBS wa the module name they used for BB maps. Thats did not affect location based services which module name is net_rim_locationapi

you can verify this by going to option=>advanced=>application the click trackpad/wheel and select show module

hope this helps
