Default Can Webclient Leave Messages Unread?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a customer using a Verizon 7100 series with the webclient. He is pulling mail off his Exchange 2003 server via POP3.

Is there any way to have it so that when the BB pulls the mail they are left unread on the server and therefore when he connects with Outlook? He had a Exchange 5.5 server beofre and this is how it acted but since converting to 2003 it marks anything in the inbox as read if the BB pulls it.

Any ideas here or am I out of luck?

Thanks.

I hope he using a 7130 on Verizon..... In the BIS there is an option under each POP account configured to leave a copy of the message on the server it polls. This is the option you want set.

I would recommend turning off the wireless sync option. That should leave them as unread.

We had the same problems with a 7100 from T-Mobile. I now forward the email to the @tmo.blackberry.net address and leave a copy on the exchange server. Works for us - just have to delete in both places as need.

Hope that helps.
