The error was coming from Outlook or the Desktop Manager application?
I was a computer tech before and here's what i would tell anyone with bizarre memory errors in Windows (i assume you have XP)
-> Check in your outlook for any bizarre errors with your all meetings , maybe do a cleanup, sometimes old meetings causes problems
-> Transfer them all to a personal folder (in a Calendar folder) and put them back, this should weed out any that would cause a problem
-> Check in your outlook for any bizarre erros with all your contacts
-> Transfer them all to a personal folder (in a Contacts folder) and put the back
-> Start -> Run -> chkdsk c: /r ( you can do a /f instead if you have an hour) -> reboot is necessary
-> Cleanup your C: drive of temp files and other junk
Start -> all programs -> accessories -> system tools -> disk cleanup
-> deframent your drive
...go to same folder as disk cleanup.. -> disk defragmenter
-> kill any unnecessary apps running in the task bar or the icons next to the clock (bottom right corner)
