I saw that some phones have patches available for them. I'm using th 4.x desktop software but am still having some issues are there any patches available for this phone (R957M-2-5)?

How do I check what OS/Firmware is already on the phone?

Go into option then about, that will tell you the current version on the device. I think the most curent version of OS software the 957 is 2.7a depending on your carrier
