Default Tour keyboard (& 8830) ??s

Please Login to Remove!

Is the Tour keyboard the same as the 8830 VZW worldphone? By this, I mean is it with the keys side by side (as opposed to the Curve's keyboard with a little bit of space between each key) I've heard something about the keys being laid out and designed differently, making it more tactile and easier to use but don't know if that was pure rumor or actually made it to the final production of the device.

With big hands, I ditched the 8830 for the Pearl (and then the Storm) but I'm thinking that I might want to come back to a full keyboard as I'm starting more enterprise work from my personal phone. But if the Tour's keyboard is the same, I will probably wait for the next gen Curve to come out.

Thanks!

I'm assuming its the same layout as the 88xx series.. I wish it had the Curve style keyboard and I'd be all over it. This is the dealbreaker for me

It's not the same as the Curve. It's pretty close to the Bold, just narrower. From typing on the Bold, I'm betting the Tour keyboard will be a total winner. Many hands-on reviews have said the keyboard is the best BB keyboard ever designed.

Thanks for the suggestion but I've already explored that avenue with the 8900 but I'd want 3G.

Why cant they just make the 8900 + 3G = FTW Curve?

Wirelessly posted (Its All About the U!)

Yes. Maybe even a bit narrower to conform with Curve width
