Default Problem With Installing Third-Party Applications

Please Login to Remove!

Hello.

I'm new to this forum and I'm also new when it comes to using the Blackberry. A friend of mine gave a Blackberry Pearl to use for my T-Mobile Network. It's unlocked but it's from Vodafone Carrier.

When I tried installing a third-party application such as Facebook, I get a message saying my IT Policy doesnt allow installation of Third-Party application. I tried many ways of taking it off by Wiping the headset, Updating the firmwire using the Desktop manager but it's still restricted.

Is there anyway of removing this restriction by myself? The phone is current on BES but since I don't need this BES maybe that could the cause of the problem, so It could be bonus if can get also help on changing my headset to BIS?

Thank you for reading and hope from you soon.

Are you on a corporate BES? The IT Policy can be removed, however, if on a BES your corporate employer must have directed that your device retain this IT Policy in order to be on their network.

What BES is it on? If you only want BIS service, just subscribe to via your Tmobile carrier.

Then remove the IT Policy per the FAQ here:

Remove IT Policy - BlackBerryFAQ

But, you need to remove the device from the BES first as it will push the IT Policy back to the BB again and again.
