Default Does 8830 have a Paste Shortcut key? OperaMini Paste?

Please Login to Remove!

I just had occasion to use Opera Mini on my 8830 because the BB Browser would not bring up a link. So I copied the link from the email (simple enough). I opened OperaM and tried going to the AddressBar but could not find an option to PASTE.

I was able to paste into the google search but that then found the same exact link which I then had to click - kind of a series of wasted steps and time altho it did work.

So I was wondering if there is some Paste Shortcut key or key combo when the Menu does not offer Paste as an option.

Thanks

There have been issues. In your Opera Mini Settings - uncheck direct address input.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

I think its designed to let you directly type onto a browser bar and based on previous inputs, it will help guess what it thinks the address is you are seeking. Sort of a smart type. Same as on a PC.

You can still paste in Opera Mini if you don't uncheck direct address input: Click in the top address bar, scroll down to "Insert symbol" and click. Delete the www and the press the menu key and then paste.

Now, can someone figure out how to paste into the Google Search application?

As I wrote in the opening message - I was able to paste the link into google search - that's how I did finally get the link when I could not get "ordinary" paste to work in address bar.

How do you Insert Symbol? Is that a menu item?

To get to the Insert Symbol in Opera Mini 4.1.1:
1. On the home screen click on top address bar.
2. Scroll down with the trackball
3. Insert symbol appears as my bottom choice

For the Google Search - sorry, I was changing the topic from Opera Mini to the Google Search application (an icon from Google that I installed on my BlackBerry)
