Default My Head set port has chipped/cracked.

Please Login to Remove!

I have been using my 8830 as a psuedo MP3 player (God I can't wait for 4.5, play list support), so i got myself a a pair of wired headsets to listen to my music while I work out or whatever, and what I have noticed just today is my head set port has cracked, and it a decent size crack. The music plays just fine.

I doubt there is nothing I can do to fix this and since the it still plays music I guess it is fine, I guess I am just dissappointed that it cracked after using for only 3 weeks :( ... O well this could be a half decent reason for me to get the 8330 LOL.

Yea you don't notice unless you are REALLY close or you touch the port. :(

lol, i have a 2.5mm to 3.5 mm convertor so i can hook it up to my car via aux, and with daily use, same thing happened, though it is a little different. Mine is a half and not a quarter, but it is deep like yours. It plays, but sometimes with movement causes disturbances. I am angry as well!

Yea, my media gets interrupted at times too, I am not sure if it from the me moving or because my BlackBerry searches for the CDMA signal. (My signal in the gym is not stable at all)

The connector or whole device would have to be replaced. No magic here, it is broken
