For some reason today, I began receiving emails from my hotmail account on my handheld that I actually received in January and Feb. Last night I was poking around some setting and might have actually changed something. I'm not really sure. What can i do to stop receving tons of emails today? Please help??

1. Drinking beers and changing BB phone settings is never a good idea
2. I think that once it starts raining emails you're hosed. You can probably set hotmail to delete anything that's over 30 days old from now on though. That's what a lot of people do.

it's funny today I got two emails from August 2008, one from an eBay member stating my item has been shipped and another from Paypal showing the payment has been made...I look at the paypal account and noticed that transaction took place in August 2008....weird.

This happens to me about once a week for the last 4-5 months... I receive 1-2 messages from sometime in the last 2 years. I mentioned it last time I was on the phone with BlackBerry support about another issue and the tech support rep said he's heard of this countless times lately, particularly from BlackBerry users who sync their devices with Gmail or Google Apps Mail using BIS but that BlackBerry hasn't gotten to the exact bottom of why it happens.
