I had to format my main computer, but wasn't worried about backup my calendar as I had it on both my iPod Touch and my BB Bold. Synced fine with my iPod, but no go for my BB.

The truth of the matter is some people either don't have Outlook, or simply hate Outlook.

While I have it and unfortunately use it, I would honestly donate my left testicle to science for a "Palm Desktop" type application for the Blackberry.

It was easy to use, fast, and made terrific backups of devices. That application alone was one of my hang ups before making the leap from Palm several years ago. Now that I am a complete Blackberry addict (7100 > 7920 > 8700 > 8100 (Pearl) > 8300 > Bold), Outlook is the only real (working) application that sync's all my data. So I _have_ to use it. I no longer have a choice.

This latest OS however is quite good. Battery life seems to be improved and boots times are really quick. That is worth more than the lives of some people I work with

Anybody get the voicemail notification back? That's been holding me up from upgrading my OS - AT&T is dragging it's feet with Visual Voicemail so these new OS versions have an issue with regular voicemail notifications.

Default No internet

Since I upgraded to this OS I've lost the intetnet connection even over wifi.
All data over BIS seems OK, such all Google Apps, TwitterBerry etc. but TinyTwitter, Twibble and others using APN doesn't work.
APN settings are OK, I've re-checked lot of times, I've downgraded the OS too and nothing. Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

--UPDATE--

Opera Mini works over wifi just to give an example but Pandora doesn't work even with wifi on.

Use Crackmem to remove the visual voicemail. Your voicemail notification will then work.

Try re-imputing ur settings for and/or reinstalling the affected apps. I had several stations streaming through the browser so i could catch all the NHL playoff games and after i upgraded, i had to reinstall them. Even though they appeared there amongst my bookmarks, they would not load. Even for Norbex Radio Companion, facebook and Viigo, my setting disappeared. Almost all the apps i have on the phone, after the update i had to either, re-login or re-install them. Strange software version. However it's much faster and the battery consumption has been improved.

With 247 I had to remove VVM to get my VM indicators (ATT) however with 266 everything is working fine without having to do that.

I'm anxious to try installing this OS.

Currently I'm running 4.6.0.167.

The blackberry website dies pretty often though, I haven't been able to download the new OS.

I did that b4. Still not working. BTW I noticed that MMS doesn't work either. I don't know if MMS was working B4 the upgrade since I never used, just tried this time for test pourprose.

Same here, every reboot or battery pull it redownloads all the junk apps in the downloads folder.

Wirelessly posted

266. Seems very good to me. Fast. Not buggy.

Good!

.266 runs same as .247 since I upgraded last week.

Two issues:
1. Wi-Fi stopped working - fixed by adding static IP to the unit for home profile
2. Bluetooth crackles on two units - Plantronics voyager 510 and Plantronics Discovery 665 - both units are OK with Pearl, Storm and Curve - removing and re-adding doen't fix it.

All has been working well.

One interesting thing, suddenly I can get into Blackberry Maps by the old hack of BBMing myself my location and clicking on the maps. Previously, it would say "Maps not Enabled"

Just upgraded from 221 to 266. No issues so far. Did not try 3G as I am sticking to 2G EDGE for autonomy reasons ...

DM isn't seeing it as a new platform update, only seeing language packages that aren't needed nor wanted, any suggestions? Running .247 now.

Welcome to the forums.

Be sure to delete the vendor.xml file. Also, use the Loader.exe file that came with the OS to upgrade. You no longer need DM.

Yeah, I know the vendor.xml and all, not exactly new to updating, I have just always used the DM to install to the phone, only way I know how to do it. The only file I have, is just the install for the update. Sorry, not understanding what you mean.
