I also find it a minor annoyance that you have to hit two inconvenient keys to unlock the phone. At least having the option to make it the trackball would be nice. Unlocking with one hand would be a benefit also.

Call me a risktaker I guess.

I wish there was a way to lock the BB when holstered but not require a security time out. Its nice that holstering can lock the BB, but when I get home in the evening I would like to be able to leave the BB unholstered and not be prompted for the password every hour (maximum allowable time).

Just a thought.

Standby > lock. One button in, one button out, and you can't dial 911 by accident like you can with the keylock on.

Strange. I tried to set a one Characters lenght on my BES Server, but this was refused by the server too (pass must be 4 to 15 Chars) - so it is hardcoded in the Servers Software.
Even if I never would use a 1 char password, why should that not be allowed ?
btw. typing rtyu+Enter is a matter of under a second if you dont have a 9500.

I use standby also....but I would prefer the option of the trackball to unlock.

Dialing 9-1-1-send in your pocket would be quite a feat.
