that article says it will be released "this summer" so hopefully that means sometime within the next 3 months or less.

Just be calm as there will be units on eBay soon after the release and unlocked one shortly after that.

Most likely June sometime! Same as the Curve last year. I remember a lot of us here we're hoping for a Memorial Day release for the Curve last year, and the auctual release was not that soon after! My guess is the first or second week of June- I hope!!!

there is one SIGNIFICANT difference. 3G isnt 3G isnt 3G in terms of frequency. So the Tmo unit wont get 3G on the AT&T network, etc.

Amen to that. I just went back to a BB a month or so ago. I can't wait for this new one to come out though!

According to GearLog, "RIM CEO Mike Lazaridis told us that the Bold will be coming to all major US carriers - just after AT&T, and not that long after."

As far as price goes, It may be in the same ballpark as the tilt, which was $599 without a contract when it dropped! Remember, they are billing it as a premium BlackBerry. However, I'm guessing it would be around $499 without a contract, and around $299 with a 2 year contract! But it's all speculation and guessing until at&t speaks up and drops the bomb.

If you have a FAN the best prices usually occur in the first month or so. Might be best to add a line and get one that way and then cancel your old one a month later. I remember with the curve last summer they were $19 with corporate pricing when they first came out.

Rogers 9000
This morning's Toronto Star article on the subject of the 9000 indicates:
"Rogers Communications Inc., the only Canadian carrier with a compatible network, will carry the device for its customers, a spokesperson confirmed. However, no launch date was given."

i cant wait for this... this device looks sweet although i am not feeling the keyboard 100% due to its similar looks of the 8800 series but the reviews that Kevin have made stated it's not the same but actually quite good is all I have to ride with and believe!
Who wants to buy my Curve now? lol
