Default Need Some Advice

Please Login to Remove!

This should probably be posted in some other thread, however, my conundrum is directly related to this forum.

I have an A&TT 8700. It has been good to me. However, it is beginning to fail:

Random keys stop working for days at a time (currently I have to type 'h' like so: I-I).

I get SOS and or SIM-card errors randomly. The former goes away after a few minutes, the latter requires yanking the battery out, and fiddling with the SIM card, and waiting for restart.

I'd like 3g and I don't want buy an 88xx or iPhone only to find out that 3g-enabled BBs are coming out a week thereafter.

I have big fingers, so I'm concerned about the keyboard on the 88xx and the iPhone being more difficult to deal with.

My question is this: Wait it out for a 9xxx, get an 88xx, suck it up (and continue watching my 8700 slowly fall apart), or get an iPhone?

My suggestion is to resolve this issue. Waiting for a new device is painful, there will always be new devices released after you have made your purchase. Get it now and enjoy it! Besides if something comes out really soon you have 30 days to swap it!

Agree. I had an 8800 for a while, and really liked it, not a bad choice at all.

I think you should get an i-phone. People with big fingers just dont deserve a blackberry.

You can likely find another 8700 for fairly cheap on the internet. Perhaps $50 tops.

I miss the 8700. Honestly, if they were to throw new technology into an 8700 casing I would snatch it up in a second.

There was just something so satisfying about the snap noise it made when you put it in the clip.
