Default Hate to start this up....9000 soon?

Please Login to Remove!

I was at an AT & T store yesterday as I won an IPhone and it is not a device i want to spend much time with. The email is so bad that I have come very close to turning this into a rectangle frisbee.
But to the point, it was my fourth or fifth time there with all sorts of troubles I have had porting over my number, then getting the data side to work properly. I made the comment that i was going to dump this thing as soon as the new 9000 comes out in April/May. ( I have no facts to base that on).
She smiled and said you may be able to do that before then.

Not sure if she has inside poop or full of poop.

Little Buuny Foo Foo will bop you on the head for getting any hopes up... I just doubt it any earlier than May.

I would love to be proved wrong.

I really want a new BlackBerry. I work for T-Mobile and everyone is running around with the Curve. But what I am holding out for is a REAL web browser. I have an iPod touch and the browser on that thing is great. I wish BlackBerry would come out with something like that.

i was also wondering if there is already any indication of the price,
will it be a lot more expensive then the 8800, or will it even be cheaper?

Substantiated rumored release dates put it in the May/June timeframe. I personally think it'll be announced the week of WES (likely May 12) and released in June to a number of Tier 1 carriers.

Default It's been a while

Finally got back to posting again here. Adding another child to the fold will do that ......Anyway T-Mobile is slated to get the 9000 series in April. The reason they give for that time frame is the 8820 for them is set for release in March. Personally I am waiting to see what comes out after these two devices. With the new OS for BES and the hand helds it will be interesting to see how far RIM goes to please consumers and corporate customers

It'll be announced shortly after I buy my Curve on Feb. 26th.

I'm not sure where you're getting that information, but I find it very doubtful.

confirmed from a senior business account manager...eval devices will be out april/may timeframe and public release june/july. This is straight from at&t corporate, not a retail location or any other crap. We have a huge corporate account with them (18,000 devices) and they give it to us straight.

My understanding is you take the model number, in this case 9000, remove one trailing 0, which leaves you with 900, divide by 2, and add 25.
