That image is not a very good Photoshoped image. I hope they don't make a touch screen the way Apple did. Apple has a lot of fan boys, and they can get anyone to think anything if they keep repeating it long enough. But the fact remains, a keyboard is easier, and faster, and since you take up screen space just to give a GUI keyboard, you are left with nothing but a novelty and no actually greater space for text.

I love the current Curve design. Just give it a faster processor and more memory so better software can be developed. But please, don't make an iPhone and call it a BlackBerry. If I wanted to an iPhone, I'd have bought one.

The Curve is already a good form factor.

I agree with everything that's been said: I won't give up on the physical keyboard and it looks like we're going to need a nuclear battery to keep the phone running for a couple of days.

My dream Curve would be something like this:

Never mind the poor picture doctoring. This is just good enough to give us a rough idea.

I actually found it pretty easy to type in the iPhone, but I still like the feel of having a physical keypad, it's just one of the many reasons sold the iPhone and came back to the Curve. I'd be happier with a faster CPU and more internal memory for the curve as well.

wow, that was informative. basically some guys who read this forum, BGR, etc and decided to do a report on it? lol. i think i'm going to start a rumor soon and see how many sites/feeds like that pick it up. haha.

one thing i will say is that i don't think RIM will attempt to compete on the consumer market (vs Apple) with the first 9000 series device. it seems that various grapevine information coming in recently has either the 9100 or the 9900 being released first. most recently, i've heard rumors towards the latter, once again. it's basically a see-saw, although i'm not sure if RIM is actually behind any of the (mis)information (would be smart on their part).
