Default 8830 Battery cover

Please Login to Remove!

Okay, this is my first post.
Now, we all know that the 8830's battery cover is notoriously diffcult to get off initially, but does anyone notice that once it's removed once or twice, it seems really loose?
I've noticed this since doing a hard reset the other day that it doesn't seem to feel nearly as secure and tight as it did when I first got it.

I had to do a hard reset last night, 2nd time taking off the cover. It was and still is very hard to remove. I don't know if you are lucky or unlucky that your cover comes off easily

I'd rather have it be secure and a bit of a pain to take off then have it wiggling when I'm typing on the keyboard.

Mine seems very easy to get off now, not sure if its because of the BSE I installed so I have more grip, or if I just know how to do it a lot more efficiently now.

I did drop it for the first time the other day (not a hard drop) and the battery cover flew off :(.

is it actually loose or are you just getting more used to removing the battery cover?

Hard to tell, I would guess loose because it does seem to slide out a lot easier.

I cannot figure out how to get the cover off even after reading the manual. I need to ask the sales rep at Verizon.

I read in another post a way that works very well.

Put your thumbs on either side of the Qualcomm logo at the bottom and pull down.
