I've installed new BBM only on OS 4.5.0.161 (8800), wont work on lower OS but other people says that works also on OS *.81 or *.110 etc. Weird

Has anyone had any issues with messages not sending? Occassionally certain messages will only show the transmitting symbol (three arcs instead of the check mark) and never go through. Also, most (but not all) messages don't have an R or D next to them. This is really pretty annoying. It's happening to me on my 8900 running 4.6.1.231 and one of my friends with a Bold. Any ideas?

Yes! So far it's:

* Randomly deleted two contacts.

* Mixed up the PINs of two others, and subsequently, the images. And did the PIN part to my address book, so now I have no idea what that person's PIN really is.

* Misattributed messages which made for some awkward moments when I thought one person was saying what another one actually was.

* Often doesn't display D or R confirmation.

5.0.0.100/8900. Installed the OTA Tour version.

I am experiencing the same issue. It started yesterday evening. Very few will go through now. Not sure what is going on.

Hmmm, shoot. Today the whole messenger was mixed up, sending the same message up to 5 times to a friend, really annoying. I guess I should have known better installing beta software, grrrrrr.

We need a better version please? Not annoyed enough to revert

Oh and I have the above described problems too.

When I try to install this via BlackBerry Desktop, it tells me it's not for my model BlackBerry.

I have a Sprint 8330, 4.5.0.131

I've tried downloading a newer version of the desktop manager (v5.0) and it still isn't working for me.

What am I doing wrong?

That's improved things *somewhat* for me. Still some weirdness with D/R confirmation, contact availability, message delivery speed...

Same here but then again, I only have about 20 or so contacts on my BBM.

No you don't need it to install it. But you will need a BlackBerry data plan in order to use it.

Even after re-registering, still having messages sit for, oh, an hour or two, and then send. If I send three messages to someone, the first may get there instantly, the third in a few minutes, and the second could be 45 minutes later. Or, it may never make it.
