hello

help needed please...my second hand blackberry curve is downloading data at approx midnight every night, are there apps that automatically do this or is there a setting i need to change for this to stop.

slight white lie really.....it's my 15yr olds sons blackberry...this is the fisrt time in early 2 yrs that he has exceeded his tariff, so checked his bill online which shows that the phobe for sone reason at around midight annd is eating data between 3 and 10 mb per night....says on his bill blackberry usage, its been doing this for a year so cant see that he gets himself up at that hour to use his blackberry, just needed to know if apps or so certain settings can do this before asking the reason why,

not sure to be honest thats half the reason why i thought i'd ask people in the know so to speak before i start jumping to conclusions...i know face book twitter and sport apps for bbc and sky apart fom that not really sure

No one here can know more about that BlackBerry than you, Rick, except your son.

Yes, there are apps that will automatically use data, depending on settings. And there is overhead data useage regardless. The amount of data used in a session and the regularity (or lack of regularity) of sessions might give you some idea of what is happening.
