The article was short on substance, but hopefully the rumor is true and we'll know something soon..... I'm anxious to see what it is and what it will do.

Article is definitely thin. I don't know if I would buy one either.

I've mentioned on other threads that I would like to carry something lighter and smaller than my current netbook. And I would also like to get away from Windows but don't want to go the linux or apple route. Now, talking on a different thread about being prepared ahead of time to recover from a blackberry catastrophe, I'm curious to find out if this tablet (if it exists) will run desktop manager, etc. so that as user will be able to wipe a blackberry and reinstall the OS if necessary.

You are correct. Apparently they will move from OS6 to QNX down the road for the phones too.

Default Maybe they should have gone Android

Really.
Are they are trying to prove they have better software dev's? Well clearly they have issues there.

Or are they trying to sell a product people want to buy under their brand? Their brand still has value. But if they keep on the current path they are going do a 180 and may the brand synonymous with "the worst".
