Okay, first off, I am very new to this whole blackberry deal so pardon me if I am asking a horribly stupid question.

I saw someone's Pearl and the home screen looked totally different than mine. It had a list of the upcoming calendar appts. and a few other things in list form instead of all of the little icons.

Is there a program I need to download to make it look like that or are there modifiable options in the phone itself already?

Oh, I guess it kind of had the feel of a windows device with the home screen being in list form... If that helps at all.

The home screen/way the OS looks/feels is done by Themes.

Go into your Menu,
Select the Settings (or Options) icon,
and then scroll down and select Theme.

From here you can change your Theme.

There are also many download-able themes available on the web. Search the forums, or Google for Pearl Themes and instructions on how to install them.

By the way, the Theme you are referring to is most likely the stock BB Dimension Today theme.
