Thanks for the fixes in 1.0.5.

two more suggesttions and then I think you could probably sell this app (i'd buy it):

1)remove the move top/bottom/up/down options.they take up room and IMHO are not needed - one could just keep hitting enter or backspace
2) is it possible to have the app "remember" in what directoies the aslt note was saved? another time saver.

Keep up the good work!! I think you have a winner here.

jrsbcf,
1) Ditto.
2) How about a default directory? I, for one, keep all my text files in one specific folder anyway.

Thanks for your suggestions.
If you love this app, just make a donation.It will always keep freeware.

The history item and dir are in my to do list,also including the default dir.
For the menu items 'move top/bottom/up/down', I think for a larger file, it is usefull.
Any one has suggestions about the menu items 'move top/bottom/up/down', post here please.

For a larger file, I'd rather have "Go to line {number}" or incremental search. But these may be harder to implement.

I think move top/bottom is useful, but move up/down 10% rather useless. Unless you create key shortcuts for that too.

I wonder why you didn't choose T and B for Top and Bottom...

Key shortcuts will be optimized, especially for 81XX.

I think maybe they take up too much menu space. Perhaps a sub-menu?

File ->
Move ->
Save ->
About

File ->
---- New
---- Open...
---- Read Only
---- Info
---- Close

Move ->
---- Top
---- Bottom
---- Up 10%
---- Down 10%
---- Show Position (like file info, but row,col and percent)

Save ->
---- Save
---- Save As...
---- Save & Close (Exit?)

A little bit of menu reorganization will make things cleaner and leave open more room to add new things later.

My $0.02.

Small bug in 1.0.5: the File Explorer items are not sorted alphabetically.

Fantastic! With this option I can finally get rid of Memopad on my home screen; I like being able to edit the same file on the SD card with my PCs (linux) and the device as text for keeping lists I edit a lot, like books to read and stuff. With an automatic default directory we can open & edit the same files very very easily.

Go to BBNotePad Home
in your BB.
You could find the OTA link
http://www.coolove.pcriot.com/bbnote.../BBNotePad.jad
Click the link.
Enjoy.

I tried v1.0.5... with my BBBrowser.

You could also try : http://www.blackberryforums.com/afte...ownloader.html to download the files locally to install from mem/sdcard.

Whoa, the forum stopped notifying me of updates. There has been a lot going on. Excellent work, qinjg8008! I'm really excited about the previews. Any plans on getting the certificate?

Do you think you can make BBNotePad launch from the Home screen with a shortcut key? I am not using W, E, I or J for anything. W as in Word? E as in Edit? J for Jot? What does the forum think?

rivviepop, are you insane? Submenus in a Blackberry app? Sacrilege!!!

Yes, I am a little insane, haha. But sometimes it works if you do it right; I have seen submenus in the BB that suck, and submenus on the BB that work. As long as the programmer can make them work right and fluidly then we're OK with it!

Wow, I was just going to pull up some examples and launched Mobipocket, and it locked up my device (battery pull). Haven't had that happen in a really long time...
