Not to try and encourage you to circumvent a policy
...a while back we looked at storage card encryption and found that it was file and folder based...so media files in only their default location would be encrypted, as would documents etc. I came away thinking that if files were placed in other locations on the media card they would not be encrypted...it would be interesting as an experiment to know if you stored, say photo's, in a location other than the default location, perhaps trying a newly reformatted media card, if they'd be encrypted...you could drag and drop them back and forth without using the media manager...if you do the experiment, be sure you don't use anything irreplaceable...
