i have the 8900.only red led goes on when battery is inserted.if i plug it to the charger or USB,a battery shows up(see attachments)
it connects to the pc,red light on then battery with / on it.
i tried cu update the OS.

Pin-ok
Loading JVM and system software -ok
Gets stuck at Waiting for device initialization.After fiew
seconds,Reconnecting to JVM.After that that phone restarts,that battery is back on the screen and 'Unable to reconnect to the device during a multi-stage load operation.' error appears on the Application loader.

i found in another forum that allot of people have the same problem as me and no,is not the battery.i don't know if posting links here is ok..but i did pretty everything that other persons seid that worked for them and still no luck.
so..any ideas?

Is there an error code such as JVM523, or JVM507 or some other such number?

Most likely you are going to have to wipe the device with Jl_cmdr (see the FAQ) and reload the OS (yellow sticky at the top of the 8900 section).

no such error.just that battery.
i tried Jl_cmdr but i don't know if it wipes because after i hit 'enter' to wipe the phone,the cmdr goes straight to main menu..still,no result after that..same thing

well..just watched a video tutorial in how to wipe your BB and,yes,it takes a couple of seconds to wipe it and after that the phone restarts.so the wiping isn't working either..

one more thing,sometimes in Application Loader the PIN is correct,other times is just UNKNOWN

yes but gets stuck half way.at the part when the phone must restart and start installing the new OS

no chance..no wiping application connects to my phone.only Desktop manager and application loader...

u can try to change a battery,i think the battery is bad
