Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8530 and to connect to my router it gives me a pin number. Where do you input the pin number on a router dlink dir-655?

Thanks,

Pin number?
Routers use a security number found on most routers. You also need the name of the router such as
2WIRE999 and the security number such as 1234567890.
You also ned to know the type of security WPA etc.

This combination allows access to a router requireing security.

Do you know what type of router you have?

You need to go into router settings.
Its do to with some routers and "wi-fi protected setup". It is apparently more common with newer routers.
Its easy to set it up with WPA, WEP etc and a passcode.

I have that router, and I went to Advanced on the top menu and Wi-Fi protected Set-up on the left column menu. One of the choices on that screen should say something about PIN.

I can't say for sure exactly what I did because mine now displays the PIN I entered and not the initial setup choices.

Good Luck
