Default Unable To Save Camera Pictures

Please Login to Remove!

I don't have a SD card in my phone atm so unable to test it by saving to that, but otherwise the past 2 builds, 4.5.0.42, and now .46 both say my file system is full when i take the picture and attempt to save. I've checked and have sufficient space (13mb) and am able to install any kind of apps. Anyone have similar issue or know a solution? Not a serious issue, since being able to finally play video seems to outweigh the camera atm for beta builds.

as they are Beta OS's it is something you will have to tolerate for now.

I have the same problem (several MB free, but camera reports system full), but I'm running 4.2.2.180. Any ideas?

Yup, tried that a few times. It still is reporting 9MB free and unable to save the picture.

I'm wondering if there is a setting to reserve a certain amount of memory for messages/call log/etc. I have a new memory card coming so this won't be an issue shortly, but I'd like to confirm there isn't something wrong with my new phone.

it isnt likely that something is wrong with your phone. when you go into the camera app, in the bottom left it should have a number of how many pictures you can save. what is that number?

It reads 0, so I know when I get low. I'm just trying to figure out why it won't use the rest of the free memory. I only have 9 pictures and 5MB of ringtones.

what applications do you have installed on the device? go into options > status > menu > database sizes

I found the answer to my question. Under Media > Pictures > Options > Device Memory Limit.

Looks like I have a software limitation on the amount of memory that can be used towards pictures as the ability to reserve space for pictures.

You guys are awesome, you just solved my same problem. Except I have a camera-less 8800 and I was getting the 'File System Is Full'. I should have searched this first, I deleted so many themes to try to make room...oh well.

I wouldnt let your phone get lower than 10MB tho cause that will cause some problems....like slow internet, Rebboting.....
