Default Recovering contacts from dead pearl?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a friend who has AT&T and had a pearl. It died and the guy at AT&T told her there was no way to recover her contacts since BB doesn't save to the SIM.

Does anyone have any ideas on whether she could recover her contacts somehow, and how to do it?

By the way, I'm not sure what she means by "died". I know she said it won't boot, but I don't know the specifics leading up to that. I know she got it close to when it launched, and it had been giving her problems for a few months.

If it won't boot, then she's dead in the water. There's no way to recover. That's why it's highly recommended to sync with Outlook or make weekly backups.

Contacts are gone. Does she have them on another device or Outlook?

No, she was unaware that they did not save on her SIM.

However, she got lucky: somehow it rebooted itself about 48 hours after dying, and she synced it to her desktop.

Thanks, though.
