Default first post - questions on icons

Please Login to Remove!

i just got my first blackberry, the 8310 through AT&T. is there a guide to each icon on the blackberry. i currently dont have web because i dont need it for a few months for work and i want to hide all the icons that instantly connect to the web. I have already hid a bunch by finding out the hard way. Some of the ones i am currently wondering about are "StreamingMusic" and " MusicID".

Also i saw a thread with pics of peoples screens and it seems a lot of people have their icons arranged in an L shape, how do i do that? i can only get them to be on one side of the screen (Zen) not across the bottom as well.

Thank you

You can hide those, pushed to your screen compliments of ATT!.

That would be called the L-Dimension theme, available in the OS 4.5 upgrades, and on some of the thememaker websites, look in our Media Section of this forum, also.

I know how to hide them i just was wondering what they did. If they were web applications or non web applications, and if there is a guide that explains all stock icons.

They are webshortcuts to ATT crap.

There is not a guide that I know of... while those are ATT-specific icons, any theme developer may create his/her own icons for each application, thus we might have thousands of icons in that guide. In your case for those you are asking about, it doesn't matter.

I understood, that is why I said "ATT crap".

If you don't have internet on your BB, and you click on it, you will see very quickly that nothing happens, that is a browser shortcut to the ATT stuff, and you will know your own answer. But I don't mind answering either if you keep posting icon names.
