Default Deleting Facebook Birthdays on Calendar

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, can anyone tell me step by step on how to delete all of the facebook birthdays that are showing up on my BB and Yahoo calendar? I keep seeing posts of people asking how to get them ON their BB but I am trying to figure out how to NOT have them show up on my calendar.

Thank you in advance

you have to unsubscribe for birthday calendars on Facebook itself.
or you can delete Facebook calendar

I cannot see any facebook (CICAL) there. What does this therefore mean for me? Does this mean in I now won't get duplicate birthdays anymore?

If u can't see any facebook cical that means that you don't have service book entry for facebook calendar.

But to be shure go and checkhow menu calendars you have on your device. Open calendar, press menu button and select options. There you will see how many calendars you have. Do you synchronizing your device with Microsoft outlook?

Now I deleted the facebook service book so all of my calendar appointments duplicated... I guess I will just go in one my one and delete each.

However, the facebook birthdays are STILL showing up even though I deleted the service book. Is there another way to not have facebook birthdays show up on my calendar?

Watch out when you delete one by one, you might end up deleting birthday appointments from your Address Book contacts. When you delete these you have no easy way of putting them back in.

I think the duplication is coming from Facebook birthdays and Blackberry Address Book Contact's birthdays.

I went through a laborious effort of cleaning up the duplicates only to discover that I had cleared all my blackberry contact's birthday appointments. I could not find any easy way of regenerating them. The only way I found was to edit clear the birthday and reenter it again it sounds easy but check out the steps you go thru to do that:

a) Menu, Edit the contact,
b) Scroll down there (It is a long way down to get to the Birthday).
c) Take note of the birthday (There is no way of copying and pasting a birthday in BB).
d) Delete the birthday - Set the thing to none.
e) Menu-Save the contact with no birthday.
f) Menu-Scroll-Edit or Menu-View-Menu-Edit (Have to scroll coz View is default)
g) Scroll down there AGAIN to get to the Birthday.
h) Change None to Date
i) Change the Month to birthday month
j) Change Day to Birthday day
k) Change year to Birthday year
l) Make sure check with your notes in (c) coz you donxxx8217;t want to go through this again.
m) Menu xxx8211; Save

Well over 10 steps!

Cant RIM do anything about this?
