Hi,

Can someone please help.
I am trying to access my BB 8100 thru Desktop Manager 4.3 but every time it connects it keeps asking for a password (See image attached). I enter my phone password but that doesnt seem to work. I have also reset my password and that doesnt work either.

What could be wrong?

All i want to do is access my phone to backup numbers and upload/download images and songs. Should I be trying other software?

Hi Dubdub,

The phone belong to a large company which I have resently left.
When I left they gave me the handset so it may have been on BlackBerry Enterprise Server?
I can still contact them if something needs to be done their end or can I fix this myself?

You're probably not putting in the right password, or at least your password is not actually what you think it is.

The password on your phone, I expect you think it's numeric when infact it's actually letters.

e.g.
if you typed in the password 12345 on your BlackBerry, it's actually etudg because you're not pressing the alt button when you're typing it.

Commont mistake.

Probaly has an IT Policy on it still. Check the FAQ for wipe using Jl_Cmdr and for Remove IT Policy.

I hope im not the first who has done this but skyman84 you hit the nail on the head. I nwas actually putting the numbers in. Thanks so much for your help.

If I do remove the IT policy will this lock the phone at all?
