Probably almost anything. If you are going to be signing up a UMA plan with your provider you may wish to consider their advise. I use Linksys at home and work, but regularly connect to many other types of hardware.

Wirelessly posted (Curve 8900)

You know all this time, I never knew what that meant. I guess I could have searched if I really cared.

Oh well.

I would recommend Linksys. I am using older model, WRT54G, can't complain. I also have D-Link pocket router, it has weaker signal but works just fine when blackberry is in range.

I didn't have to do any special software modifications or even vendor provided upgrades. Just opened box, connected, configured and that's it.

I also have wired router so to keep my home network undisturbed I just connected Linksys WRT54G to one of my wired router ports. That let me play with Linksys configuration as much as I wanted and my home network was kept running.
This was good idea because at one point I messed too much with new router security and just decided to reset LinkSys router to get off the mess.

By the way, I also have UMA. Works great.

You will, most likely, have UMA. It comes with cell phone subscription. Wireless carriers are not stupid to miss wonderful opportunity of not investing in cell towers infrastructure yet charge you for minutes on UMA.

I don't have special UMA plan, just connected my blackberry to home WiFi router and my cell phone provider happily flashed UMA letters on blackberry screen.

I suspect if I unsubscribe from blackberry data plan but keep cell phone plan my UMA will stay.

UMA allows mobile phone calls to be passed over the WiFi router instead of using the cell tower network. There are some cost savings for certain types of use depending on what programs your provider offers. You are not necessarily on a UMA plan, talk to your provider or visit their web site to find out more.

Under the right conditions yes. This has been discussed extensively in other threads.

You can't: blackberry model 8130 does not have WiFi.

You should go for 8120.
