New to BB - Saw Guitar Hero 3 on YouTube - purchased it from Fandango - used the Application Loader and got the error that "no new applications were found". It's the right kind of file (.alx) - I see others have similar problems.

I have V 4.3 from Verizon of the Desktop software. Ideas??

Turns out there is a known conflict between the Device Software and Windows Vista. When you install your version of the Device Software (to work with the Desktop Manager), the USB port is no longer recognized by Desktop Manager (or VZ Access Manager if you use Verizon.)

No current known fix. Spent over 2 hours on the phone with Verizon and found this out via internet.

Can you elaborate more on the issue you're talking about? I'm using Windows Vista and I've had zero problems with Desktop Manager, any of the BB OS's, or installing applications to my device from the PC.

Obviously the VZW CSR you spoke with knows diddly squat, and told you a bunch of BS.

Your issue would be likely fixed by now if you follow the informaton in that FAQ link.
