That is very strange. I was just reading over this thread and I was going to reply with some suggestions.
But the fact it worked in one place but not another makes this harder to pin point. If this were happening to me I would try a few things to see if I could figure it out.
Wipe the phone and reinstall the core OS only. Then test. If it still doesn't work then that pretty much rules out any third-party apps or a corrupted install file. If it does work, reinstall any third-party apps one at a time testing after each one to see if you can figure out which one might be causing a problem.
I'm trying to think of what might cause a problem location-wise but the T-Mobile 8320 doesn't come with GPS built in. Just for the heck of it, let's check the GPS settings. Mine are set for:
GPS Data Source: None
GPS Services: Location ON
You could try messing with those to see if they might have an effect. I don't see how they would, though.
You can't really call T-Mobile technical support and complain since 4.5 is not supported they won't do anything for you. Once 4.5 is released by T-Mobile if it's still not working *then* you'd have something to back you up when you called in.
