Does anyone know if this product has been release or has started shipping yet? If so, where did you buy it? I see it at a few online retailers, but no stock, even with cellular distributor Tessco. I purchased one advertised on Ebay a month ago and the seller insists he shipped it the next day but it is missing in transit (no valid tracking provided) so I'm suspicious as to whether or not they actually shipped me anything, especially if RIM hasn't even released this product.

It's a bargain too. I never thought they would be able to bring it in under $110. Wow, what a deal.

Seriously? That seems crazy to me. I bought a bunch of the Amzer units for our 8703's. I think they were $22.00 each. They work great. I have no use for charging a spare battery and I have a Jawbone headset so that part doesn't help me either.

I'm hoping a low cost solution like the Amzer comes out for the 8800 series....

I've seen them for less than $75, and I supposedly bought one for $60 on Ebay, but the seller is yet to deliver. He provides a postal receipt number showing a package being surrendered on 4/23 to a post office in NY, but tracking the number doesn't show where the package was going, who it was going to, or what zip code it was addressed to. A month later, the information still shows the same info. Now he claims that its probably lost in the mail. Who knows how many other unsuspecting buyers got this SAME number and are out of luck. Good thing Mastercard places the burden of delivery on the seller. Proof of shipment even if this was legit (I hardly regard this as proof of shipment) is not enough to fend off a chargeback.

After doing several searches, I'm convinced this product has yet to ship/release from RIM, so whatever this guys' angle is, it certainly isn't forthcoming. I just ordered another from Tessco with an ETA of 5/23, so we'll see.

Looks like RIM pushed back the shipping date to 6/7/07. This will probably push back my order from Tessco.

Again, has anyone gotten one of these or does anyone know if this product has even shipped from RIM?

I did some checking on the Ebay seller and it turns out he has two other buyers of this same charger from the same seller and who have left negative feedback for him stating that they didn't get thiers either because it was supposedly "LOST IN THE MAIL". At least they got refunds. I was told "bummer for you-you didn't buy insurance". Good thing Mastercard has a whole different take on non-delivery issues and will charge back the amount to the seller.
