Default Linked In for BlackBerry

Please Login to Remove!

Version 1 has been released here LinkedIn for BlackBerry.

My first impressions are that the app is underwhelming at best. To the best of my knowledge you can't touch your groups.

The app is so bad I have already removed it. Epic Fail. Part of the reason is that it assumes that of course you want it to autoload. You can't get rid of it in main memory even with a battery pull.

Personally, I don't have an issue with the LinkedIn for Blackberry. Given, I just installed it today but it does the basics well enough although like many other applications that are available on both the iPhone and Blackberry, I find that the LinkedIn application on the iPhone is better.

I kept it on my Bold 9700 since I still have lots of memory remaining and I occasionally want to check LinkedIn and I have my Bold 9700 with me almost all the time (which is not true with my iPhone).

Glad you're happy with it; I'd rather have a root canal.

I wouldn't say that I'm happy with it or not happy with it. I just don't have any issues with it. It does what I want in LinkedIn and I'm a very basic user of LinkedIn.

The most annoying complaint I have with it, is that even when you "Sign out" and "Close" the app, it stays running in the background.

Has anyone else noticed this annoying "feature"?

It's the facebook saga all over again under a different name. Give it time.

Yes, it is the main reason that the app disappeared for me -- that and the lack of group-related functionality.

They claim (apparently) that they have to auto-load and remain resident so that messages can be pushed to you at any time. What the arrogantly assumes is that the end-user wants Linked In messages pushed 24/7. If you do, then you should have the option of keeping the application running.

Default Why do I see an icon at top with number next to it?

I installed linked in for blackberry. Now, there's an icon at the top of my home page with a number 4 as if I have 4 unread messages, but I don't have any unread messages. How do I clear out that blue icon at the top?

Default How do you see your linked in groups?

I see icons within the app for people, but how about groups? Can I use the Blackberry app to see my Groups?
