Hi guys.

I've got a simple issue that I need help with. I installed Twitter For Blackberry on my curve and audio alerts don't work. I can see the "t" icon on the home screen so I know it is aware of new tweet replies and I have the "twitter - new mentions" alert configured for tone (both in and out of holster).

Any ideas?

Did you set alerts for "New Tweets" in addition to "New Mentions"?

Hi,

Nope -- I'll try that. But I really only want to be notified on new mentions so I don't see the twitter icon on the home screen all day =)

If I remember correctly, there are individual profile settings for tweets, mentions, etc. Right? You should be able to set each independently.

The options in the twitter app are:

- Notify on new tweets (I didn't have this one checked).
- Notify on new replies and mentions (I had this one checked)

I also had the audio alerts setup for mentions and direct messages. No sound.

I've checked the option to "notify on new tweets" and will test again.

So direct messages DO work -- the alert sound kicks off as expected... it's only regular tweets, mentions, and replies that don't work.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling. No luck. I'll try a battery pull.

Nope. Still doesn't work after battery pull... apparently I'm not alone... I noticed a similar post on the crackberry forums.

I have a question about my UberTwitter if anyone can please help!!! I downloaded the Ubertwitter, it worked perfectly fine. One day, I changed my password, and it would only say "Network Busy". So what i did was I uninstalled it, then reinstalled it, including my new password. Problem now is that, its not the Ubertwitter I used to have. Before, whenever i clicked on my UT icon on my menu screen, it would say "Retrieving" then load all the newest tweets. But now when i click on my UT icon, my timeline shows up, and i have to refresh the timeline myself, then scroll all the way up to get to the beginning. Is there any way i can get the UT i had before. My blackberry is a 8520 Curve and my UberTwitter version is 0.971. Someone please help! Thanks

Unfortunately, it still doesn't work and the GA release is out. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

I dont use sound. I only the LED indicator. Consider go back and creating a custom profile which I know is a hassle.
