Storm 2 Coming
Please Login to Remove!
Well I guess I complained enough. Verizon is sending me a refurbished Storm 2 (no battery door) to replace my Storm. Should be here Saturday! The first person I talked to said no storm 2 only storm 1. She said that they could only send out storm 2’s when the 1’s are out in their warehouse. I asked to speak to her supervisor, and he gave me no grief at all. He fully excepted me to ***** about the lack of a battery door, but I knew the circumstances before I called, and already ordered one on ebay. Just wondering what accessories I will have to buy again. Hope its better! Wow, no new contract, no more money. Waiting and ready for the storm 3!!

No battery door for yours either? Thought it was just me. I traded in my Tour for the Storm 2 and it arrived overnight without a battery door. Thinking it was an oversight of some sort I went to a retailer near my house and was advised xxx8220;oh, thatxxx8217;s how they ship now and that I was to use my existing xxx8220;Tour doorxxx8221; for my new Storm 2. After pointing out the obvious, the Verizon guy eventually removed the door from an in-house Storm and sent me on my way. Anyone have any explanation as to why they ship less a battery door?

When the storm 2 comes, is there a way to tell if it is the updated Storm 2 or the old storm 2. It will be a refab, so is it correct to assume that it will be the old one? Also does it matter where it was made?

There is supposed to be a green dot on the box it comes in and there is a series of codes on the inside and that lets you know if it is a newer one. I received one with a green dot on it but the codes were not the correct ones, so, I in fact received an old one. I shipped that phone back and am waiting to get a newer one.

OK, got the S2, (with a blue dot and made in Canada) spent hours updating, downloading, and adjusting late into the night. Woke up the next morning so proud of my new phone. Got my first call, and i could barely hear the person thru the cracking speaker. Verizon looked at it, now waiting on the next one. They would not replace it at store level. So much for refurbished and like new!

That is exactly what happened to me! I got a junk refurbished like new phone. That was why I wanted to receive a new one. I have given up on getting a replacement phone. As I explained to Verizon, I don't want to have to keep wasting all of my time reprogramming my phone with all of my apps only to find out that it has to be returned. I will deal with the disappearing memory on my phone instead of keep gettng garbage phones. Good luck with your replacement.

Well i just don't understand Verizon, apparently my phone was overnighted, nice! when i opened it, it was a brand new one, i think, came with a door and everything! I seems to be problem free.................so far. BTW how do you tell the screen fix? And Ixxx8217;m only guessing it is new because it had all that plastic to peel off. The last one only had it on the screen.
