Install went smooth with the exception of the backup didn't go through automatically. I just restored my most recent backup (5 minutes before I started the new OS installation :p) and it was good to go.
No complaints about the new OS other than it's snail's pace slow. :(
hello
i upgraded my 8100 and all seems to work fine, but one thing, it wont sync my phonebook with MSoutlook phonebook or note pad
anyone has had this? how do i fix it?
thanks Y'all
There is a fix in regards to the outlook connectors.
I just noticed there was a more recent os update and my question about carrier info in the previous update thread might need a little clarifying.
When you upgrade, before you start it says:
"Warning: After completing the loading operation, you must activate your device wirelessly to continue to send and receive messages and use other blackberry services. If you do not want to continue with this loading operation, press cancel."
I guess I'm asking what this actually means. What will I need to activate wirelessly? Just the blackberry services like BlackBerry Messenger and the e-mail I currently have set up? OR is it talking about what the salesman does to the phone when you, say, get a brand new one?
UPDATE: I went ahead and said to hell with it/tried it anyways. It worked and everything was fine. Same as before just better OS!
Another Update: I just noticed the answer to my question on page two. I must've glossed over it!

great thread. i am planning to install this version. downloading as i type.
has anyone noticed any conflicts with Google Maps or gmail apps with this version?
Thanks
Upgraded and got all the goodies I wanted, got my bluetooth headset working finally(all the buttons), the mediaplayer does what its supposed to, even my book readers font gets corrected.
Then I realize I can't make calls, send emails, txt etc. I'm not on the network. So I turned my wireless on and off, get the bars for maybe 30s (no edge) and then it just disappears. My sim card seems to work, can get my address book off it, and shows up in options. Can see my mobile network as tmobile, just no traffic. Tried downgrading to .69, no go back up with .81.
Just upgraded on my TMobile 8100; everything worked like a champ. I do notice that the 'preloaded' images are no longer there. Any way to get them back. This was an upgrade from the TMobile 4.2 (v107). Not critical, but it'd be nice to find a way to get the preloaded images back as I was using one as my background.
Any suggestions? I still have the TMobile 4.2 upgrade installed on my PC if there is a way to scrounge around in the installation files.
