Coming and going again here in SW Atlanta. It was very steady for a while but the last call I was on switched over to EDGE and stayed there until the call ended. However, without the bluetooth headset I am not having the audio problems. Partial problem solution. Maybe tomorrow will be better for UMA.

BTW, the Tmo rep at the retail store wanted to know what was with the epidemic of people coming in to switch out their SIM cards. She said that they were all complaining about their UMA connection and that it was likely a Tmo problem and they should do something about it instead of having people switch out their cards.

One last note: I checked my settings on my phone and noticed that it was on Channel 1. I had been advised here in the forum and by Tmo to change it to 6 or 11 (I'm pretty sure these are right). I went into my router settings and changed it to 11 and now I have two curvy bars on each side of the wireless symbol. This is good.

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 8320)

Yes channels 1, 6, or 11 are the best ones to use. Since 6 is the default and most people don't change it use 1 or 11. Check to see what channel other wireless AP's are using first so you can try to avoid a channel someone around you is using.

BTW, thanks for the info on Bluetooth and 4.5. I don't use Bluetooth so never see it work or not.

Wirelessly posted (Curve)

Still working just like in the old days before last week. Two curvy bars on each side of the Wi-Fi indicator. Hope it continues to hold.

Has anyone loaded the newest beta OS (.52) on the T-Mobile 8320?
How is it working for you and, can you CONFIRM that the Bluetooth issue w/ UMA issue is resolved?

Default Bluetooth seems to work...

It's only been a few days since I upgraded to 4.5, but so far my Bluetooth is working much better under UMA than it did with the prior OS. Fingers crossed!!

This is the best news I've heard yet about the upgrade!

I just spent 45 minutes on a conference call using a Jabra BT 250V. No problems with OS 4.5 so far.

It also seems to make the transition from EDGE to UMA better.

I'm running the Orange UK build 4.5.0.52 and UMA is working great on my TMO 8320. I was running .46 prior and sometimes when I received a phone call it would reboot my device.

I don't have a bluetooth headset handy to test but I'm pretty sure it'd work.

My Motorola S9 used to not work at all with UMA. It wouldn't get any sound at all. Now it works great.

Can anyone confirm that it is not working in the SF bay area. It went down this week for me. UMA still connects, but when I try to make a call it gives me path not found, and when people try to call me it tells them I am on the phone.

Can you show a link to an OS for (8320 in use on t-mobile) that will improve the uma issues and the bluetooth/uma issue? Thanks in advance.
