I downloaded it from RIM. If it is installed try checking for an update in the app itself.

Desktop Manager 4.5 is the latest and can be downloaded here:
https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22

You are looking for Desktop Software V4.5 Then you just have to decide if you want to download it with or without the Roxio Media Manager.

All the steps are listed in the thread that contains the latest OS for your device. When they refer to the Desktop Manager that's the link I posted. They recommend updating to the newest DM before you update your OS on the phone. Just remember to reboot your computer after you have installed the new DM before you start the upgrade process for your phone.

Here is the latest OS upgrade for the 8300:

K thanks, I guess ill have to wait until that 200mb file is done. (desktop manager)

Also, Do you know how I can use my micro sd for storage? I cant seem to find a way for the system to store in it, only way I can use the micro sd is store stuff from the computer.
But never from the blackberry alone, neither can I pass pictures from blackberry to micro sd card.

The card will only store media, not applications or application data. From the Camera, hit the BB/Options key then Options and there's a "Store Pictures" option. You can select "On Media Card"

If you have pictures or music on the device, you can move them to the card from the phone. Go to Media and find the file, then hit the BB/Options key and select Move. Then find the folder on the card and hit the BB/Options key and "Move Here" or "Move Into".

So what Do I do if my blackberry is full? and It does not have space for the update?

Guys, I deleted the vendor.xml or something like that.

Now, I turn on desktop manager with my blackberry on, and nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong?

My blackberry will not even be recognized by my computer, I am getting scared now.

What do you mean? Are you trying to update the device OS or the Desktop Manager? Desktop Manager doesn't install on the device, just your pc.

What is the file free on your device? Go to Options > Status and post your File Free numbers.

If you are low on space on the Blackberry, see this thread:

http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ee-memory.html

How are you trying to connect with wireless?

Looking at your questions, I'd suggest you read over the BlackBerry FAQ -- a lot of things will make more sense to you.

BlackBerry FAQ - BlackBerryFAQ

The 8300 doesn't have Wi-Fi, so I'm not sure what you meant about connecting to wireless unless maybe you meant email? The FAQ explains about setting up email also.

Also read the Help on the device itself and the help in Desktop Manager. Those will answer a lot of your questions.
