Default Alpha-Numeric Paging

Please Login to Remove!

Ok all of you BB guru's. I have to carry a alpha-numeric pager due to my job and I am wondering if there is anyway to set-up my BB to receive the messages. I already have text messages and email coming to my BB but would love to have a way to reduce the number of devices that I have to carry everyday. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

I get a busy signal while I dial this number. Has this been terminated?

Yeah...I get a busy too. Maybe the new at&t finally figured out what they inherited from the old at&t! Too bad.

I am in the same boat as u. My alpha-pager comes with a website to manage the emails/pages and settings. I set mine up to automatically forward all alpha and numeric pages to my email address connected to my BB. Other than that, you can see if there is a way to add the email address of the pager to ure BB

It was a TAP interface for mobile phones. You call the number; enter the PIN (cell number); then the number you wanted a return call on. The recipient would receive an SMS with the number to be called. Just like a regular pager.

The number goes way back to the mid-90s on the at&t TDMA network. It continued working after Cingular inherited it and was working up until a few months ago. I guess someone figured out there was no revenue coming in from that and killed it.
