I would like to find a news app. I tried AP News this morning, but I don't think it is set up to support touch screen. Which annoys me because it works well on the iPhone...

Viigo works well, just don't hit the 'back' button.

I'd like to know how you know all these are working, because obviously you didn't try them all. Market simplified does not work. you would know this as soon as you tried to type anything while in the application, it doesnt support the on screen keyboard and will only type the first letter in sureview or the other view. nor does it support landscape view...Makes me wonder how many more of these dont work.

Most likely, the search button doesn't work for you on here either becasue if you used it you would of known to turn off compatibility mode. sighhhh..some people are just born to be spoon fed for their entire lives..

Despite the inconvenience, you are much better off downloading to your PC. I save all downloaded programs to a separate folder. This has saved me many times when apps go bad and need to be reloaded. I only do "over the phone" if I have no choice. 73

This appears to be a bug in the keyboard application programming interface (API). We developed a work around that displays a numeric keypad whenever you enter a number field. Please download the latest version from our FAQ page which should resolve the issue.

FYI, if you are having this issue with other apps, you can try to switch to landscape mode, click on the numeric shift key and click on the "1" key, but unfortunately you will have to click on the numeric shift key before entering each digit in the number.

Im aa new BB user and I cannot figure out this whole app thing..like, where do i get more apps? cuz the only ones that i can get from the phone are like 9 apps and i see everyone else has a lot more than the one listed. PLEASE HELP!! Also, Whats the best video type (like mpg, avi, mp4, mov, ect) for movies to put on the Storm???

Go to ESPN.com and download their BB app. It's awesome. It will put an icon on your home screen.

my two cents:
i think some of these apps are amazing! They are useful, they make our lives more simple and ultimately we can function faster. I tip my hat to many of you posters and for you go getters out there.
i am like some of you, where sometimes, if the app is right, or there was an independent developer that put in a lot of hours to help the rest of us out, yeah i'll donate some money, but seriously... ten bucks for an app so I can get a full screen, or at least a decent sized image when someone calls from my phonebook?! You are right, I can't create it on my own, as I don't have the knowledge or the tools... but seriously folks.. we can get gps, a program that will give us a ton of links and even some really great media tools for free. *steps down from his soap box*
