i bought my bb torch 9800 two months back and i just noticed recently that my torch doesnt have a "TORCH" word between the camera and the flash. its written 5.0 MP autofocus. I am just wondering if this device is not fake. it does have IME and pin, im registered to BIS under my carrier but just a little bit of confused why it doesnt have that word in between unlike those other torch units. thanks so much!

It sounds like you have a 9810 and not a 9800. A fake one wouldn't register to BIS.



9810 on the left, 9800 on the right. Which one looks most like yours?

If you can register itnon BIS then it's definitely legit and a real BlackBerry. The housing could have been replaced with an aftermarket housing as many of the replacement parts come with no branding/logo.

Fake blackberry torch 9800 wouldn't register to BIS so if it is register to BIS you need not to worry.

My Rogers 9800 says "5MP Autofocus" instead of "Torch". Who cares?
