Does anyone else get this problem with Opera on a Storm: Clicking (tapping) on a link sometimes brings you back to the same page, like doing a reload almost. I love Opera except for this glitch. Sometimes I have to click the link 3 or 4 times to get it to finally go to the right page. Basically it starts loading the link and then seems to be redirected back to the original page. I have this problem on the previous beta and still with the official release.

Definitely an occasional problem. I find it much less often, though, if I set connection to "http" rather than "sockets".

Thanks. I had it on sockets. I'll see if http is better.

I have that problem and sometimes when I click on a link the screen turns white. The app is frozen but the rest of the phone is fine and I have to do a hard reset

I think that happened to me in a prior opera version and/or in combination with the latest .607 os for BB.
Try to download the latest opera first to see of that fixes it. It does not happen to me any more

Yes but I meant to download the newest version of opera first. I'm running 5.0.18832

As for the BB OS, I had 607 for a while then I downgrade to .517 because of issues with opera, shazam, slacker, google maps and other apps...

So I repeat, try to download opera again. And if that does not help I recommend doing a downgrade to .517 which is basically the same (minus smaller keyboard font)

There is a very annoying new bug in Opera with OS .607 on my storm 2 (which Opera is aware of, but I think hasn't fixed yet): After I submit text and the virtual keyboard hides, the screen space the keyboard took up doesn't get reclaimed until I rotate my BB. After a rotation (or more usually a rotation and back), everything is fine.

Since I use Opera to read far more than type (I admin my vBulletin board from it), it's only mildly annoying. But I'll be glad when it's fixed; it's the only meaningful issue I have.

Well, OK, I would also love a convenient page down feature rather then the finger exercise I get now. ;)

Thanks for mentioning this. I have the same issue, and it is indeed annoying. Very happy to know it's not my own individual problem!

I mentioned this a couple of threads ago when we were complaining of .607 bugs... anyway my solution to this, very annoying bug was to go back to .517 and I still encourage you to do it, at least until a more stable OS comes along...

.517 has none of the many bugs I encountered in .607 (take a look on old .607 threads)

Opera just released a new, minor revision for BB (it's reporting v5.0.19692).

Reported improvements:

A bunch of language support.
RSS feed links should now appear at the top of pages again.
RTL (Right To Left) languages should now display properly on phones with supported fonts.
Problems with daylight savings time have been fixed.
Some problems with keypad text input have been fixed.

Alas, it doesn't fix the keyboard ghost problem - I still have to rotate to get the space back.
