Default Pay as you go T-Mobile (UK)

I'm thinking about getting a Blackberry Curve 8900 but I've come across a slight problem. I planned to just buy a T-Mobile (UK) model and use my pay as you go chip but I recently found out that "You do need to have a plan with T-Mobile in order to access BlackBerry service" which sucks considering I'm on Pay as you go and T-Mobile don't have the curve 8900 available on Pay as you go so I'm not sure if I can sign up for one.

After browsing these forums and following some of the links you guys provided for people with similar questions I've learned about data plans and how you can't use the default blackberry applications without them but I'm still not completely sure on some things.

Can I still use other browsers or twitter applications and connect to the internet through the wifi system instead?

I know it's a bit of a stupid thing to ask and a long shot but I really don't want to change my provider and I don't use my phone enough to warrant a monthly contract; I'm more interested in the BlackBerry's applications than anything so if there's any way around this it'd be a huge help.

Yes you can use browsers (BlackBerry, Opera Mini, Bolt) and connect to the internet via wifi. Some of the other apps may not work with wifi though (that's where you need the BlackBerry data plan). But you can easily access twitter from the web.

Thanks a lot, that's good enough for now I guess.

I suppose there's no way of getting a blackberry plan on T-Mobile for now then? I looked around their site but couldn't find anything other than general mobile internet stuff.

T-mob do not offer Pay as you go BB data plans.
Their BB data plan can be added for £5 to any combi or flext plan, and when buying a BB 8900 or bold its mandatory for the bb data plan to be added.
