Default Blackberry Won't Turn On

Please Login to Remove!

So I got an iPhone 4 in July when it came out. But I am letting my contract run out on Verizon because the monthly payment was cheaper in all than paying the deactivation fee. So my Blackberry hasn't been on for about 4-5 months. And I'm trying to use it again to see if I want to get rid of my iPhone and I've been charging it for 5 hours and it won't turn on. The Red LED light comes on and stays on while charging, but it never turns on. Can anyone tell me what I can do?

Let it charge over night... May also want to re-seat the battery.

Yeah I took out the battery. I'm hoping it comes back on because I want to use it again.

Lithium-ion batteries don't like to be drained to zero power. You'll have to try to recharge it often till it manages to break though and finally recharge the battery. My laptop was in storage for over a year, and it reached that zero point for months. It took me days of plugging, leaving it on for few hours, then unplugging and again till it finally recharged. The battery lost around 40 minutes of run time permanently but its better than zero forever.

When leaving a device for long term storage, ALWAYS remove the battery.
