Default New to blackberry Scene, Help Needed

Please Login to Remove!

Well yes im going to admit upfront im not an adult, Im a child, well more mature then an average one but still beside the actual point.

I am new to blackberrys in general, I am going to buy the pearl due to its the newst and yes, But I would like to do some researching before I get myself into contracts and plans.

This supposivly has a web browser?
I know it wouldn't have much memory but I was wondering..
is there charges or a one time thing? or is going to be like the cellphones where it takes up minutes off of my plan?

Is there an MSN messenger service?
My family would be able to stay on contact with family an friends. and would this take up minutes? i wouldn't mind a onetime charge thats alright.

How are the alarms/organizers?

I would like something for my appointments I have and reminders since im so darn forgetful haha. is there functions like a vibrate and or alarm??

also Ontop of this, can maybe experienced people with the systems give me a quick rundown of basics before buying, whats best for my interests and what my prices are.

I would like to thank everybody for who helped me out here,
once you do respond, Thank you for your time and efforts, it is greatly appreciated,

Yours Truly,
Matt Zigman

Web Browser. yes it does have one. you need to have a blackberry data plan. it's 20$/mo additional from TMO. a lot of people make this mistake when purchasing the pearl. It's an Unlimited Data plan. Your minutes will remain intact.

MSN Messenger. It's an optional program, as of this post. There are quite a few choices. please jump over to the Aftermarket Software section for a good list. It, too, relies on your data plan.

You will notice the Blackberry relies on you having a Data Plan. It's a large requirement of having a blackberry.

Alarms. Yes, it has everything you are looking for. It has a calendar program where you can set reminders.

Basics.

- Blackberry Data Plan
- Money

Make sure you know what you are purchasing. If you don't need the blackberry, you should probably rethink your options. Choose Wisely and Enjoy whatever choice you make.

If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

This stuff is all on the forums. Whenever I'm about to make a serious purchase I read over the feedback and actually give people about a week to test their devices and give updated reviews.

There is a search function, as well as one site devoted to Blackberry FAQ's.
