Default 9550 reboots

Please Login to Remove!

My Blackberry 9550 will reboot when I push on the back.

I removed the back and when I gently push on the battery it reboots.

With the back on I can tap the phone gently on the desk and it will reboot.

Any suggestions please.

The contacts are spring loaded to make contact and unless as Knottyrope indicates they are dirty they should not fail to make contact.

Another thought, If the phone is kept in a rear pocket like many people do, I would replace the battery also just in case it is damaged. Videos on the internet show the potential of fire when they are crushed. A lot of people sit on the phone and can cause damage.

Wrong ! Checking the battery or even replacing the battery in the phone will not cause any contacts to be lost.

Replace the battery. I'm sure that contacts will not be lost!
